It may be February, and it may be snowing, but looking out to our busy snow-covered bird feeders, I am dreaming about spring and starting to think about what to plant in the garden this year.
My parents were gardeners and it would be fair to say that garden chores, when I was young, were not a favourite occupation. All that changed when I bought my first house and became the mistress of my own patch of dirt. Since then, winters have come to mean garden magazines, online seed catalogues, plant planning and daydreaming about what to plant in the warmer days ahead.
Whether you are a novice, staring out the window at your first garden with excitement (or dread!), or a seasoned green thumb, here is a list of local, provincial or national seed/plant/garden sources.
